Trains of interest

A couple of weeks ago by chance while waiting at a level crossing in Northumberland, a steam train went by, absoutely spectacular, made my day, I think it was called the "Cathedral ????"

Is there a time table for such trains, i.e. if I knew that one was going to go past I would make a special journey to see it. I can't find anything on the internet and wondered if any of the members of this forum could point me in the right direction?

Another type of train I would be very interested in seeing is the "Deltic" I don't know if any of these are still running, but would love to see one again. As a child I lived very close to the railway and used to go up to the local station, I was always quite taken with the Deltics, very impressive distinctive sound when they put the power on to leave the station.

Steam trains - http://www.uksteam.info/index.shtml

click on the "2009 tours" or "This week" on the RHS - then on the [Times] for a timetable if available.

Diesal tours - Try - http://railwayherald.co.uk/

Click on tours (also gives steam tours aswell but no times)

That would properably have been 'The Cathedral Express' with 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' from London Liverpool St to Norwich on the 23rd April.
