I just wonder what the objector does for a living. It wouldn't surprise me if in such a rural area it was the railway who kept him in his job.

sounds like that objector has a valid point. To bring in that many additional cars would create traffic problems especially at weekends and building relief roads wont please anybody. I expect the planners will throw it out and insist it is scaled down; but they are a peculiar bunch - them town & country planners!!
