BR cm&ee dept?
 
can anyone tell me what CM&EE dept of BR is because i have just purchased 4 model BR veichles for my 90s Southern region layout and wonder what the CM&EE veichle was for,i would be greatful if someone would tell me?

Well, CM&EE stands for Chief Mechanical & Electrical Engineer. So the item you refer to would be a departmental vehicle of some sort.

Departmental vehicles are an important part of the infrastructure of any railway, but by the nature of their duties are normally kept tucked away out of sight for much of the time.
