bachman class 171

i have just purchased a weathered 'southern' livered class 171/7 from modelzone,to me its a great model but it looks like it has electrostar headlights?do you think?

i also ment to say it looks like it has lights which some electrostars have, and the headlights look nothing a-like to the real ones of the class 171/7!

The model uses Bachmanns 170 body shell which is correct for the early 170s. The early Electrostars (357/375/377) also had the same style of lights. Later Electrostars (375/376/377) and Turbostars (170/171) had the new style headlights fitted. Unfortunately, it is far easier to use an existing body moulding (especially as there is very little difference) to make a model that otherwise may not be made, than it is to re-tool the thing.
