Another nice random question
Tell me off if this is the wrong forum but it is primarily themed around passenger rolling stock.
Is there a special name for that area that you get next to the gangways where the doors are in long distance trains? And what is the purpose of it? because on short distance suburban trains, they don't have it. |
Are you talking about the vestible?
It is just where the two carriages join, and where the doors are, sometimes there is also a toilet. |
I think you are referring to the vestibule.
|
I'd call it the vestibule end.

The door locked an opened with a "BR1" kEY.
