Greetings from across the pond!
Hi there, I'm Jim. 28 year-old guy living right outside Philadelphia, not far from Amtrak's famous Northeast Corridor, and I thought I'd join the forums. I've been looking for a decent forum-site, and it looks like I found it.
Trains have been in my family for years, having a grandfather who worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a brakeman many years ago. I, of course, have always been a fan of HO scale trains, and, naturally, my interests have shifted to European and Asian models. It figures I'd be the one in the family to have expensive tastes! |
Hello Jim Welcome to the forum.

Hi And Wellcome
Hi and wellcome i have been over to your side of the pond lol and think you are a great load of people in a great country and have never been made so wellcome as your fellow people made us , we were lucky to get on the n corridor from edison to pen station wow what a journey only 50 minutes but certainly some sights to see as well as when we got ito the big apple
oh the joys of your flight been late from st louis to newark meant we got to see the big apple as we were 24 hrs late for our flight from newark new jersey due to weather ,and i think i saw the longest train ever in my life when we were in st louis lost count after about 50 + boxcars took nearly 6 minutes to pass crossings , i was in wasHington dc last july and got photos in union staion but was told under no circumstances was i allowed to photo the tracks or locomotives there so was well anoyed but security comes first i suppose :) |
Welcome to the Forum. :)
