Man dies after being hit by train
 

A 50-YEAR-old Greenock man was killed when he was hit by a train last night.

The driver of the 6.55 Glasgow-bound service from Wemyss Bay reported that the train appeared to strike someone near Branchton Station, Greenock, around 7.20.
Police were sent to the scene and found the man's body.

British Transport Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.

The man's identity has been confirmed but not released.

I feel the answer to this is "Oh it won't happen to me.", but it CAN as I found out many years ago on another matter.

Have u ever thought that maybe that man new aboot the laws of going on railway lines and maybe he tried to kill himself ?

A difficult subject that requires much thought before posting.

It's the drivers I feel sorry for!

I also fill sorry for the Police as they are the ones who have to *clean up* after a fatality. These people do not think about those who have to live with their actions after they jump i.e. the Driver and Police.
