Man dies after being hit by train
A 50-YEAR-old Greenock man was killed when he was hit by a train last night.
The driver of the 6.55 Glasgow-bound service from Wemyss Bay reported that the train appeared to strike someone near Branchton Station, Greenock, around 7.20. Police were sent to the scene and found the man's body. British Transport Police say there are no suspicious circumstances. The man's identity has been confirmed but not released. 2 threads involving fatalities on the line by pedestrians and apppeals by BTP for higher penalties for level crossing offences. There have 15 fatalities in the past year. Why do people think railways are not dangerous?

A difficult subject that requires much thought before posting.

It's the drivers I feel sorry for!

I also fill sorry for the Police as they are the ones who have to *clean up* after a fatality. These people do not think about those who have to live with their actions after they jump i.e. the Driver and Police.
