Hi I have just joined the forum, so thought I would introduce myself.

I live in darlington and I am in my last year at school, and am trying to find an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (but in the current ecomony that is proving difficult:mad: ).

I volunteer with 3 steam preservation groups:
North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group,
North Yorkshire Moors Railway and
Merlin Locomotive Group

I look forward to reading some exciting topics and contributing to some of them.:D

Hi Jay Good luck in finding an apprenticeship. Good site this plenty of members who have knowledge of most railway topics.

Welcome to the forum. Have you thought about Pete Waterman? His organisation runs railway apprenticeships and he is always looking for likely lads. Just try typing his name into Google and you will find his websites.

Hi Jay from a fellow Darlingtonian! (Tho I'm not a native I've been living here nearly 8 years now)
I'll have to check out you you tube Tornado video- i was there too on the 7th!
