Excellent video. Just wish I could slow it down a bit. Also cannot download it as a file for some reason.

And the wires stayed up!!!!
But what happend here?
"For technical reasons a short stretch near Milton Keynes is missing from the route".
Did the wires fall down on this stretch?

Great film plus wonderful publicity for High Speed 2. Just shows how many twists and turns there are on the West Coast Mainline!

Thanks for the link Syd.

Best wishes,

I missed Weedon in Northamptonshire, years back my brother ended upside down across the line there in a fiesta. I guess it could be missing if MK is aswell.

would have been faster if they hadnt stopped at so many stations!! ;)

Looks to me like the stretch between MK to Crewe was missing!!

dogof2head 12th January 2009 13:45

Apparently the missing bit was due the sun shining straight into the camera, completely whiting out the picture. Not Network Rail's fault for once!

John H-T 12th January 2009 15:36

You mean Network Rail can't move the sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
