Just picked up a copy of 50 Great British Locomotives edited by Nick Pigott of Railway Magazine (£4.99 from WH Smiths)

Interesting selection from Penydarren to Eurostar and Tornado (No.51)

Good cross section of the obvious: Flying Scotsman, Mallard, Royal Scot, Deltic and HST and perhaps less obvious Jones Goods, LNER Bayer Garret, 08, Class 20 and Kestrel.

Good read and useful reference especially for £4.99.
