Stockport denied of frequent XC trains from December

Arriva XC plan on sending some of their services non stop through Stockport asof December, despite petitions and previous acts of parliment. I know that its a bit dated saying that every train passing over the viaduct should serve Stockport, but surely it should be in the interest of the passenger that the trains stop.
