Yer, he cooked his goose as well.

Dawnrider 8th September 2008 22:05

I thought he might have made himself a BR ham sarnie while he was there! ;)

Would that be fast food then?

Arthur Maunsell 9th September 2008 16:01

as I understand it, he was frying his brekkie on a shovel....:D

Clearly he was making a stand against the use of fast food outlets near by :D .
Just one thing I don't get, the report says, "The train was in Preston Station, where it was being cleaned before it was due to travel from Lancaster to London", but why was it at Preston if it started at Lancaster? Surely it would have been cleaned at the depot (as this was early morning), and if it had stopped at Preston (possibly to make way for in service traffic or where the onboard crew boarded) it would not have unlocked all of the coaches, just one for the crew to jump onboard, where he would then have been spotted.

Hehe,

Yeah, it's a thought that David, but considering he was making his breakfast on there, might he have stowed away overnight? Maybe he was on the last train of the previous day, and the train was stabled at Preston (I dunno if trains are ever kept at Preston overnight, but I know they do keep trains overnight at Manchester's stations so...)

Perhaps IF the full facts had been reported, then we might be able to comment better?

What's wrong / offensive about harmless speculation and bad puns?
