Howdy Folks!
Hiya, thought I'd better introduce myself, being a new boy. (I use the term very loosely). Living in Gosport, Hants, I've been largely untroubled by trains since I moved here in 1959 (other than a once-a-week goods which petered out some years back). I got interested in trains from my pushchair, when my Grandad would take me to Tilehurst station every Sunday morning. Actually, I figured out some years later, he was waiting for The Roebuck to open it's doors! This was around 1952, and I've delved in & out of railways ever since; between 1973 and 1986 I worked on the Portsmouth-Ryde Isle of Wight ferries. The travel facilities enabled me to hurtle around the country, and indeed, Europe, like the proverbial blue-a***ed fly. I took some awful pics as a schoolboy, up until 1966-ish, and didn't really take many more until around 1983, then went berserk. If anyone would like a look at some of my photos, I've got just over 3000 (some buses/ferries/etc), which can be found at:

There's nearly 80 collections so far, with over 6000 archive slides yet to be added, which I'll be making a start on in a few weeks time. Please leave comments, or get in touch, it makes it all worth while.
Nice to be here, all the best, Dave. :)
