I can recall riding on the footplate of this Wonderful machine when at Bressingham Gardens some 30 years ago. I look forward to seeing it Steam past me somewhere and soon.

I often saw Britannia Oliver Cromwell at Liverpool Street when I was firing at Enfield. In the mid 1950s it was always turned out nice and clean. I can't remember if it was a Stratford or Norwich based engine.

Who can remember 'Owen Glendower'? This 'Brit' had a deeper more throaty sounding whistle and was uniquely different to hear.

I often saw this one at Liverpool St when I was a fireman at Enfield Town.

Did they preserve it as well?
