Work begins on a high-speed rail link that will cut travelling time between Beijing and Shanghai in half.

I wonder if that will be the end of their overnight sleepers. I rather enjoyed my trip form Bejing to Suzhu (near Shanghai) Took me back about 50 years to when sleepers were a regular part of the British scene!
