A man and a woman who died when they were struck by an 80mph train were seen arguing.

Upon talking to a train driver earlier today and about this incident, he told me this is six in as many months in that area alone and now 23 in that particular TOC's area since taking over the franchise and the highest recorded for all of them.

While we can't blame it all on the railway, if people choose to go out that way, my wish is that those who do choose this way, would and at the very least, consider the Driver of the train, knowing he/she has to face the fact that they have INNOCENTLY killed somebody/people and for the rest of their lives. One Great Driver I not only knew, but had the tremendous pleasure to work with, had two in a few months and it was so Very sadly as far as I am concerned, responsible for his early demise. Those who know me personally, know Who I am talking about and he IS sadly missed and years later.

Could'nt agree more with you. I suppose someone, who knows nothing about anything, will question the fact that people can gain access to the tracks.
It would'nt matter if we put 100 foot fences round every square inch of the railway they would get in.
I do feel sorry for the families that are left behind, I would'nt be normal if I did'nt, because I am a family man and my family are my life. The problem is the poor devil that has had to look at these people go under his train are never thought about, well certainly not by the media and others who like to sensationalise these sad events.
I know people who have experienced this very thing. They live with it forever.
