EX ARRIVA / Northern Spirit 142 Pacers (MODIFICATION or STANDARD)

Just recently a slight differece in theese refurbished units came to my attention, It was the ceiling as on the ones i have been on so far example 142 026 which worked the 17.25 from L/Pool to Man Ox Rd on Saturday.

They seem to have either had there SALOON AUXILARY HTRS removed or never been fitted with them at first i thight it may have been due to most of them been g 142/1's but 026 is 142/0 and does not have these HTR PODS in the celing but they remain tthen on the out side as 142 060 is a 142/1 which has these AUX HTR PODS in the ceiling.

SO was wondering if anybody could shed some "HEAT" :D on this subject as it has become to baffle  me som what as it just caught my eye and bugged me ever since.

And also as the panels dont look any diffrent in colour as normally they would be slight diffrences with age etc.

When Northern had some FNW 142s taken out of service due to essential manitenance a couple of years ago, I did hear that the ATN 142s had had Arriva had given the units replacement seats, heaters and lighting.
