Railway Tavern's verdict on line (BBC News)

Landlords and customers of a pub hope a new £30m Ebbw Vale to Cardiff rail link will bring benefits.

Ebbw Vale

I can't reply to the thread about the Railway Tavern on the new Line to Ebbw Vale( I am being locked out of the reply screen for some reason). Puzzled about the people from Tredegar saying that they will use the train. Tredegar is already rail linked to Cardiff, it's in a totally different valley! And is a long way from any part of the new line to Ebbw Vale! In fact it is several mountains and hills away.

Les,
I'm confused:confused: The only info I can find says that Tredegar station closed in 1960.
Are you possibly thinking of Treherbert?

LES GIBSON 7th February 2008 09:47

John,
you are absolutely right! I was confusing Treherbert with Tredegar. Age is catching up rapidly.
Best regards, Les
