Rail services on the East Coast Mainline are returning to normal after a person is hit and killed by a train.

Yes, sadly it's that time of year when people are most inclined to step in front of trains :(

What ever the reason for this sad loss of life, lets also think of the driver who must have been seriously traumatised at this event.
