New trains 'too heavy for tracks' (BBC News)
 
Passengers are facing rail delays because of new heavier trains being introduced on southern England routes.

We have newer, heavier trains wearing out the track in the South and on Merseyside we have new track wearing out the wheels of the older trains:confused:

Nothing like excuses from NR

Its the same all over "Its not our fault its the loco or its the wagons or the stock" never the diabolical state of NRs infrastructure.

Surely tests would could be done that would simulate these conditions prior to the trains being used on these lines?
