It's about time I joined
 

Well considering I am 60 and have lived and loved trains all my life. I decided it was time I joined a forum of like minded souls. I love everything from standard gauge to OO gauge. But maybe to keep this short I should give my earliest and most recent thought.

Earliest, standing on Wolverhampton low level in 1963. On the middle rail sat the GWR County of Berkshire steaming and sweating on standby possibly in the drizzle waiting for its next rake of carriages to travel somewhere south and west. I must have been eight years of age.

Most recent, manor weekend on the SVR where Dinmore Manor was added to my 'seen' locos.

Up next, hopefully to Butterly on January 16th to see the 5MT 73129 with Caprotti Valve gear. Never seen the mechanism before.

I hope to make a useful contribution once I get the hang of how the forum works.
