Collision between 2 engineers trains in Scotland
 
Two engineers trains have collided during an engineering possession near Cumnock in Ayrshire, Scotland.

I'll bet the ES is a worried man !

There is often an element of miscommunication in situations like this. Trains move around inside a possession without any involvement from the signaller and without the safety of signals. The person in charge (Engineering Supervisor) needs to know where all rail vehicles are, and is in control of movements. If he gets it wrong, or is given incorrect information trains could come together.

No one was hurt, which is the main thing.
