Italian Passenger Coaches.

1 Attachment(s)
This is probably a question for Fabio:)
Italian passenger coaches in N-scale are very hard to obtain in The U.K. The only ones that I have were made by Arnold quite a few years ago and two of them are shown in the attached photo. Can someone please tell me when passenger coaches in these colours last operated in Italy? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, N- Scale is hard to find and it's very very expensive. I've some old N material (early 80's), It was produced by "Lima". Nowadays, in Italy we can find some different N producers, like: rivarossi, RoCo, Fleischmann "piccolo", Peco and ACME.
About the coaches showed in the photo:
Left coach Type is "UIC-Z1", operating in those colours since 1985 until 1988, when it has benne painted like the right one. The Right coach showed is the "UIC Z 1975", operating since 1975. It has had those colours (double gray & yellow lines) since 1988 until 1994.
Both coaches are still in service like "Intercity" & "Eurocity".
Pleased to have been of help!!;)

Thanks Fabio.
That's exactly what I wanted to know.
I wish that someone would make Swiss/Italian "Cisalpino" coaches at a reasonable price.:)

Hi Fabio I read this about Italian railways is it a joke.

The tendency of the Italians to sing was outlawed by the Italian State Railways. Under a law introduced on 1st December, 1980, soloists, either singing or playing musical instruments are liable to a fine of 30,000 to 90,000 lire, choral singers 500,000 lire. Orchestras or pop groups however, are liable to receive a prison sentence of two months.
