Bombay Railway BBC 4(TV)

Did anybody see the programme on TV last night (Sunday 29/07/07) ?
The facts given were mind blowing, 6 million passengers carried Daily. On a train designed to carry 1200 they are now carrying up to 5000:eek:
Interviewing one Driver " Have you ever knocked anybody down with your train?" reply "I have been a driver for 30 years, it must be 60/70 passengers I have hit"  On hitting a passenger the Driver and Guard must make sure the victim is not on the track, and then report the accident at the next station.
The second part is on next Sunday (BBC 4) at 23.00hrs

I've already seen them and found them fascinating, a real contrast to how things are done over here. The second episode features a little bit of steam, it's well worth watching.

Yes, I saw it as well.
It was absolutely fascinating. I have seen people travelling on carriage roofs before but not sitting next to the pantograph:eek:
