Thanks for that Phillip.

In the Beeb article I noticed something interesting...

Ooh dear, failing to report an accident - that really upsets ORR !!

And now they've had another one.

I spent a day at the Longleat railway the week before the accident to see if I could drive for them. The team were very safety conscious and seemed to be a good bunch of lady's and gents,(yes they do have a lady driver) although quite young. Tony who is in charge of the railway knows his stuff and is a very pleasant guy. But the big problem is he can't get the board to pay for the repairs that are needed. The track was very rough and the train bounces around quite a bit. I was not very impressed with the condition of the track.
I did not take the job as it took 2 1/4 hours to get home, and as some of you know, my wife has been very ill (nearly lost her in January) so I turned the job down. It would have been voluntary on my part.
