Possitive Train Control technology -U.S.
 
Technology in Railways increasing day by day.Technology name "Positive Train Control" system is implemented across U.S.With this safety of rails percentage will increases.The project cost nearly $87m and deadline for this is December 2015.Hope to see more projects in future.

Thanks for another interesting post EM.

I'd never heard of it, but as usual Wiki was my friend...Positive Train Control

It sounds along the lines of what we will eventually be receiving here in the UK ...The European Train Control System

But with a deadline of Dec 2015 for the US system, it will be in service way before ours.
