Welcome to the forum Steve, a good site to find when steam is running weather it's a trip or a loco being moved is UK Steam Info and if you see one on there you can use one called Real Time Trains which will give times at most stations loops and junctions, and once the journey has started it will give its progress at all the points listed, eg 3E for 3 minutes early, 3L for 3 minutes late or OT for on time. Sorry I cant give you a link to them as I don't know how to but just Google them and see for yourself they are very user friendly.
