Class 47/7 push pull sets

Hi

I'm doing some research into the Class 47/7 push pull sets that ran between Edinburgh - Glasgow/Aberdeen in the 1980's. Is there anyone out there actually worked or has any memories of them? I'm really looking for information on the sort of maintenance they needed because of their intensive use.

Hello Craig and welcome to the Railway Forum. I don't know anything about the Class 47/7 push pull sets that ran between Edinburgh - Glasgow/Aberdeen, so I am unable to help you. There is a lot of railway knowledge on this site and a lot of retired and active drivers who will be able to help you.
