China’s booming high-speed rail

The high-speed rail lines have, without a doubt, transformed China, often in unexpected ways. With traffic growing 28 percent a year for the last several years, China's high-speed rail network will handle more passengers by early next year than the 54 million people a month who board domestic flights in the United States. The only drawback: "The high-speed trains are getting very crowded these days." Is it rail networks fast and reliable compared to the domestic airline industry which has some of the worst air traffic delays in the world?

It's just what this country needs. All the negative stories we hear in the news, re our proposed high speed projects are so short sighted. We need to update and grow our rail network and build for the future. It will work and be good for our country. We have lived for far too long with an outdated infrastructure.
Bring it on and the sooner the better.
Regards
Phil

Yes you are right Phil it is very important that major countries should step forward to increase the rail network, because this will help normal people to travel with ease and yes they have to upgrade the outdated infrastructure.
