ELR Autumn Steam Gala, Lancashire and Vintage Bus Running Day, 19 – 20 October
 

The final steam weekend of 2013 is a true bonanza! Including all of the usual add-ons of an East Lancashire Railway Steam Gala, home fleet and guest locomotives will be running on an all steam timetable throughout the weekend and we can confirm that loco 46233 “Duchess of Sutherland” will be making a guest appearance alongside Hawksworth Designed 0-6-0 Pannier Tank 1501, appearing courtesy of Severn Valley Railway! As if that wasn’t enough, this year’s Steam Gala coincides with our Vintage Bus Running Day. These splendid machines will be ferrying passengers throughout the event. Loco allocations, information on the attending buses and timetables will be made available nearer to the event.

In addition 61994 "The Great Marquess" will return to the East Lancashire Railway until the end of the year and subject to availability should be appearing at our Autumn Steam Gala.
