Train Identification (Brazilian)
 

Greetings gentlemen and gentleladies!

I'm a 3d environment artist with a single, bad image of a train that I would like to identify. Reference is everything so knowing the model would allow me to replicate it as accurately as possible.

Apparently this was taken in Brazil, hopefully that holds some clues. Cursory googling didn't yield any decent results for me (a complete novice), so I thought I'd turn to the experts!


Any help would be really greatly appreciated! I'm a bit wary I've committed a forum faux pas by making a request on my first post!

What I'm going on is the Pantograph that collects the electric is identical and considering other forms of current collection it's too heavyweight for high speed use so doubtful it's a train

I think therefore it's Rio de Janeiro's surviving tram line is 1000 mm gauge (the other shut down in 2011 after an accident damaged it's trams and track again)

it's called the Estrada de Ferro do Corcovado

It began operation in 1884 using steam and was electrified in 1910.

Found some great resources and even the manufacturer seems to just refer to the model as the 'Dolderbahn', although that appears to be the name of the original line in Zurich. I'll keep looking.

When I look at an unknown photo of rail based transport I ALWAYS search for train AND tram because I am fortunate to live close to the Tramway Museum at Crich in Derbyshire England so I get to see all sorts of weird stuff

and travelling Europe I get to see lots of different light Rail / Tramways

So to me it makes sense to check for both
