Web Site

Does any-one know what happened to web site Railenthusiat ,it was the site where' you could record all of your sightings ,locations , wether hauld or not and submit photos .
Also is there a site similar to locoscene where you could keep records of all your sightings with tick boxes ( the same format as loco spotting books ) in the form of a app .
I hope someone can help.

Not heard of any apps like that though which do you want Android, Blackberry or Iphone

just done a search on Google and there seems to be a Dutch/English one for the iPhone and Google Play show one on Android

I use mainly my i pad , if you can tell me name of Dutch Uk site ,I will check it out.
In this modern era of techno , I would have thought someone would have come up with a train spotting app , all it would need is a list of all classes , numbers , names , along side a tick box , ah well !

I must be getting old.:D

Sometimes the uses that "new" technology gets put to is mind boggling. An ap to tick off ones spotted numbers ?

It's a long time since I took numbers, I just like to see and hear locos, the numbers are not important anymore.

That's why I'm a railway enthusiast rather than a train spotter.:D:D

the Apps that I found were under train spotting
but none of them were pre loaded lists more like writing apps to record what you see

There are no apps out yet that are like the books that are available
I know someone who writes a printed combine who says it would be a full time job to keep such an app up to date as users would demand constant uploads

http://www.wnxx.com/downloads/index.htm

gives UK railway downloads as MS Excel files but even they do not produce an app for any phone
