I found this site through the Ship's Nostalgia site & I now find quite a few seafarers have done the same. My interest in Steam dates from my early teens when I would stand on the Iron Bridge at West Ealing which spanned the main line out of Paddington, and train spotted. I used to go to Paddington about once a month and 81C as often as I could. Once had a cloth thrust in one hand and a large Tin of Brasso in 'tother and told to "Polish that b****y bell". KG5..............sigh.................pete
