Interesting photos, I like to see transport being shipped, it reminds me of the days in Dover in the 50's before the DODO ferries. Everything had to be craned out!
Thanks
Phil

It passed through Stafford today heading south (23.10.12) i'm not sure of it's destination.

I read somewhere that it was due to go to Brush at Loughborough for some reason or other.

Thanks 62440, you were correct, the destination of 70099 was Loughborough, Does anyone know why it has been imported, and why from Turkey?

It was built in Turkey from a kit of parts from the US as a demonstrator tester for a Euro version which is now in it's second stage of two demonstrators in a different power level

As for 70099 it's being UK'ised at Brush as a UK/Eurotunnel demonstrator/ replacement for 70 012 (AFAIK)
