Hello Alan and welcome to the Railway Forum.

Welcome to the Forum Alan. A Midland Man living in Calidonian territory - an interesting combination!
What are your plans for your layout? Best wishes, John H-T. |
Hi John
Thanks for the greetings. Yeah Midland ideas and Caledonian ways of doing things takes some getting together! I've had to get to grips with the likes of MacIntosh and Pickersgill since coming up here. I did join the Caledonian Railway Association so that helped a lot. The layout's been on the go for about 15 years and is modelled on nowhere in particular. The station has Scottish light blue signage but the rolling stock reflects my own personal favourites; hence a Westhouses 4F and Kirkby in Ashfield 8F alongside a rebuilt WC and a GWR Grange (a model of the first GWR engine I ever saw). At the moment work is centred on building a "High Street" of shop units so that should keep me quiet for a while. Have you got any interest in modelling, if so what sort of layout do you have? Cheers Alan |
Look forward to seeing some photos.
Best wishes, John H-T. |
