Hi, I have dug this out of a tree that was grown around it. Any idea what it is? I know it has to do with the old round house behind my property but not sure what. Thanks.

Hello Submarine300 and welcome to the Railway Forum. Looks like an interesting bit of kit, but I have no idea what it is or what it is used for.

I looked the numbers up and the trackwork company. It's definitely from a railroad but it didn't say exactly what it was. Best I could figure it is from around the year 1938?

Welcome to the Forum Submarine300. Not sure what it is unless it is some part of a drainage system.

Hi Submarine300 and a warm welcom to the forum.
I have had a look for the part number and 112RE comes up as something to do with a rail connection part though what exactly I am not sure!
Wish you luck in finding the exact description.

Now that looks like something I've seen before
but theres a few bits missing do you have more piccies of all 4 sides ??

is there some bits on what is the back in the photo broken if it is it will be cast iron too not pressed steel

Sorry I don't have any more pictures of it. There is nothing broken off of it. All edges are rounded.
