DATS test train.
 
A DATS test train in the Kettering area with SIX forms of traction in a most unusual consist.

Hmmm, dancing pan.

Looks like either an air supply problem (or leak) on the Pan, or an ADD (Automatic Dropping Device) issue.

A little Google hunt shows that the DATS train is comprised of a rare mix of traction.

So the consist make up is deliberate.

Thanks for flagging that Philip, I hadn't heard of it.

I used to drive the MML from London to Bedford. Glad to see that that the wires have got a bit further north.
