Looks like our Class 08 shunter (Link...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_08), though I don't think I've ever seen one go that fast before. Just like a dragster on nitro. ;)

I think I can see that there's a ratty little driving 'cupboard' in the coach when it's being propelled. An arrangement like on our UK Class 153 single car DMUs (Link...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_153) where the second cab used to be the toilet, or so my colleagues tell me. Highly appropriate.

And it seems funny that they've got the loco going bonnet first when it's leading, you'd have thought it would be easier for visibility to have it running cab first. Though there may be a reason (there usually is).

I have been taking a squint at the CD you sent me again. I think I will be watching it off and on for some time. For me the Garratt parts are most interesting, although I enjoy just about all of the CD.

F212 should look familiar.
The Mexican (VR) F class were built on the UK.
Just had the wheel axles stretched a tad for the Mexican Irish gauge.
The DERM is one of the Mexican Yankee Doodlebugs.
Diesel Electric Rail Motor.
I forget just why it was being shoved and dragged by the F class.
Probably a failure, or even demotored.
Back when the video was shot, the VGR on ventured about half of the original route towards Castlemaine.
There was no run-around facility where they ran out of track in 1994.
Today, apparently, the entire branch line is reopened.
Not sure if the F class still percolates though.
I ain't been down there since 1999.
Oh, and Mexicans did it different to the rest of us down-under.
Their early diesels were designated as Long Hood leading.
This was to supposedly protect the crew from the Mexican motorists at the plethora of level crossings encountered south of the border.
Not sure about the F class, but if you can squiz a small letter F on the side of the running board, that designates the Front.
