Some people are so low that they could walk under a snake with a top hat on.

Fortunately, thanks to very active publicity by the railway concerned, the artifacts were soon recovered from a reclamation dealer locally. However, there is always the likelihood that a theft like this might take place again and so security measures are being stepped up. It's not helped by the fact that services to the location (Cheltenham Race Course) are temporarily suspended due to the landslip at Gotherington. Work has now started to repair this however.

Was anyone prosecuted? The courts should make a good example out of a few of these scumbags, but it seems that they are far too lenient. (I was going to say that they don't have any b@lls anymore)

Words for these lowlife people fail me, I cannot express myself on here for fear of upsetting the junior membership.

Disgusting, and again, I cannot say exactly what I think for upsetting our younger members.

But it beggers belief.

I remember running into Taunton about 3am two men on the down platform removing old copper wire.
I went in to the station masters office for a cuppa and just mentioned it to him
(i thought they were just workmen) by the time we had got down there men and copper wire gone.
Scum of the earth

ccmmick.

It may sound wicked, but perhaps One day, a thief will get More than they bargained for, by pulling at a wire that is still Live? Shocking thoughts I know, but one way to stop them?
