HMMMM, non-inspected earthworks adjacent railway lines is a risky situation.
What could they replace the HST with that has more crash protection ?
Our Rocket (XPT) is based on your HST.
The proposed replacement for our Rocket is akin to the Spanish dual power dingus that went bush at high speed making a mess.
A docco inferring that the cost cutting design suffered from a high centre of gravity diesel unit.
That adding to the instability at high speed on restricted speed curves.
Mind you, anything hitting a tight curve well above the road speed is gunna go bush.
Our QR tilt train went bush when hitting a tight curve at almost double the permitted speed.
Yes realigning the entire QR North Coast line tight curves would be astronomical in price tag.
But, one does wonder at these newbie high speed lines built with tight curves.
