Hello chaps, please tell me what "wnxx" is ?

62440 14th July 2010 14:48

Certainly 48111. http://www.wnxx.com is a website run by enthusiasts listing all stored locos. wnxx is a operational group (pool) code used on the railways to denote that a (EWS) loco is stored unserviceable.
There are over 100 codes, qcar for example is Network Rail new measurement train class 43. ejlo is London Midland class 08.:( Loads more listed in the back of the spotting books.

Hope this helps, Regards, 62440.:D
