Here is the whole of this particular news item:-

Summer rail work to cause delays
A £55m upgrade of track and signalling in Lincoln is expected to cause disruption for passengers.
Network Rail said the work will mean cancellation of services from Lincoln Station for three weeks in August.

The project is the most extensive upgrade of Lincoln's rail network in the past 40 years, Network Rail said.

Buses will be supplied to ensure passengers can travel from Lincoln to other stations in the area, Ben Herbert from Network Rail said.

The bus transfers will travel from Lincoln to Newark, Cleethorpes, Gainsborough and Spalding.

The work is scheduled to run from 11 August until 2 September.

"We have spoken to people in Lincoln, including local authorities and train operators, and the best advice is to do the work when trains and roads are at their quietest - and that is during summer holidays in August," Mr Herbert said.

"The work is important as it will mean more efficient and reliable service in the future", he said.
