Hello everyone and thanks for all of your information that I've read here. I'm interested in just about anything that moves and a train falls under this category. About three months ago I purchased an old set of crossing lights on craigslist and it planted a seed in my noggin. I decided to build a railway crossing in my yard for my neighbors and friends to enjoy. After I bought a Western Cullen Hayes bell, I was on my way. To make a long story short I fabricated the crossing and this past weekend I installed it. I thought a few of you might enjoy it so what better way to make a better entrance than to post a photo of it.
You can also check out the entire project on my website here. I enjoy building and restoring stuff so I also have a website to show them to others. I don't sell anything or make money with my website, it's just a hobby that I enjoy.

thanks again for having me,

Wally

Hi Wally & welcome to the forum.

I reckon that if I did that here my neighbour would probably shoot me because of the noise of the bell ! ;)

Perhaps now that you have the crossing you should put in a railway to go over it ?

GO ON - YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

Best wishes, BW

That looks like a garden that could take a full railway system never mind a crossing sign.

Hi Wally and a warm welcome from me too. Its refreshing to see something a little different from the norm and you certainly have that.
Its a great hobby and who knows what can become of a hobby? A museum perhaps or something along those "lines" (pun intended!)
Thanks for the pictures
All the best
Phil
