Battlefeild Line Railway

Which of theese Hinckley, Polesworth, Leicester or Nuneatonwould be the best and closest station to Shenton Station or Shackerstone Station ?

Hinckley is nearest to Shenton. Bus services to the battlefield line are totally abysmal though from all directions, you'll need to take a taxi.

Be aware that Hinckley generally has only one stopping train each way per hour. Plus, at the moment, there seems to be a full 'engineers' possession' over the whole weekend whilst upgrading work is being carried out. I'm not sure how long this will be in effect.

Having checked against the national rail website, it looks like next weekend (27/28th March) is the last one. There's supposed to be 12 weeks worth of advance notice on there, I tried checking trains to Brum from here and it only tried to re-route me via Derby for two weekends.
