East Midlands Trains breached rules

Well apparently EMT ran a competition for people to send in ideas about how to "build back better" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean ).

The prize was to be £5k for the best idea - except that they decided all the entries were no good and so scrapped the competition without giving anybody a prize.

That's naughty - and the ASA thinks so too.

Linky here...EMT breached advertsising rules

I saw that too! I bet the suggestions were things like free travel & Derby to St Pancras in 3 minutes please!

Haha.

I'd be inclined to put in a idea where the directors all get their salaries doubled and they take the seats out of the trains so that more people can travel.

I'll bet that would tempt them...;)

Quite an embarrassment for EMT when they ask for ideas about improving their service and probably get a stream of abusive replies from the public.
Predictable though I suppose.
