Back in the last century, millennium as well a pedal cyclist reached 109 MPH behind a train in I think France. There were boards laid between the rails for the bike to run on. No idea how far the bike actually travelled but must have been a decent length of straight track and no turnouts in the way. There was a photo showing rider and bike behind the windbreaker. Not only Russians do silly things but seemingly French are not immune to such exploit either.
