Hello
Just found the forum and joined! I started working life building steam locos and have always had an interest.
I notice some members appear to be using amateur radio call signs, is that correct? Looking forward to following the threads. Many thanks TC_Leeds |
Hi and welcome to the railwayforum, we hope you enjoy the site. Feel free to join in where-ever you fancy... we're a friendly bunch.
Yep, by coincidence, a number of our members are radio amateurs, and some use their callsign as a username on here... I don't ;) Cheers (73 if you are a radio amateur) Andy BTW: Just a stab in the dark, but are you a rare bird photographer? Our sister site is Birdforum.net |
Hello
Hi Andy,
Many thanks for the welcome. I look forward to participating. Yes I am a rare bird photographer and my call sign is G4RVO. Seems we all get involved in the same things. All the best and 73's TC_Leeds |

I know it's off topic, but if any of you radio guys have any transmitter valves to dispose of can you PM me please.

I should explain. I build single ended valve audio amplifiers and have used "old" radio transmitter valves. Like GU-32 (832a) QQV07/50, 829B (3E29) and PT-15. Just looking for some others (in pairs).:D The 3 digit ones starting with 8 are favourite. |
