London Victoria Station

Hi there!

I am desperate to find out if there are any good images of the southcentral side of victoria station back during the 1960s. There seems to be images of close ups, but im more after images covering a wider part of the concourse and platforms?

Can anyone help at all? Many thanks

Yo victoria, welcome to the forum.

You'd be surprised what a great source of railway photos eBay is. I keep finding some absolutely unique gems on my pet railway subject (and I won't say what it is ;) ).

Make sure your search criteria is finely tuned to reject the nonsense, but let the possibles through.

(I used to drive out of the Southeastern side of Vic, so I know where you're coming from. Some fantastic traction to be seen from Nine Elms and Stewarts Lane).

Best wishes,

FP

London Victoria Station

I can remember going to London for the first time in 1983 and after arriving at Kings Cross on the sleeper, got a taxi to Victoria in time for the morning rush hour. The station had a real buzz to it although I was disappointed at not being able to get to the end of the platforms to spot.
