I scoured that section of the line on Google Earth but can't pinpoint the exact spot.

Why is it that a 3rd world country can repair its railway after that accident in less than 2 days when ours could take a week to clear up that sort of accident?

Because they do not spent time finding out who to blame for the crash just get on and get the trains running

They also have a lot of cheap labour. There are a lot of people who would jump at a chance to earn some money for doing 2 days work even if it is hard, heavy work.

Also very limited alternative transport. The public transport is appalling in general. Taxis are downright dangerous. 17-odd people were wiped out in a bus just the other day.
