Oliver Cromwell Footplate Ride
 
The Lord Mayor of York's Charities Committee are offering the opportunity to ride the footplate of the Oliver Cromwell, which is currently in the NRM York. We are selling 999 raffle tickets at £20 each and the lucky winner will have the experience of a lifetime. Draw to be made 10th May 2013.

remember once having a footplate ride on oliver cromwell.......and having a shovel in my hand the majority of the time.

Bet you did not have to pay £20 a raffle ticket in the hope of winning for doing it though.

Hi Oliver and welcome to the forum. Just a query regarding the whereabouts of the Brit, she is currently at the Great Central Railway undergoing a bottom end overhaul. She is due to be completed and out on the mainline by late spring though!

I have already had a footplate ride on this Beauty, when at Bressingham Gardens, some years ago.
